All this talk about Hyundai's got me googling & i've stumbled across some schweet bits of kit i didn't even know existed!! Dynasty! Centennial! Grandeur! Circa 1985 - looks like a mid 80's Camry! c1974 Pony concept! Pony wagon!

Is it just me or do the rims on that Pony wagon look like MK3 Corty ones?? They probably are. The early pony shared all the suspension with mk3/4/5 cortinas. In fact pony anti roll bars are thicker that cortina ones and are worth a few quid in cortina circles.

Definitely think there's Ford links with the original Pony, before Mitsubishi became involved - even as a kid I remember wheels and centre caps on the Pony sold here looked like Escort MkII/base Cortina IV. When others were playing football, climbing treees etc this is what I was doing.....
That Grandeur seems more than a bit like Mitsubishi Debonair or Diamante or something.
Saw a rubbishy old J-plate coupe today - wish I'd photographed it now, hopefully be going that way again soon.
