Hi all,
I just wondered if anyone here has removed a coil from a lowering spring on a Mercedes W123? I'm just wondering how much lower this would make the car, seeing as I'm removing between 300-500kgs from the car, which is cancelling the effect of the lowering springs.
Has anyone cut 2 coils from a lowering spring? How much would that drop it?
Cheers Frank.

i had some 3 inch lowered springs made for the front of my 123. i had to cut a coil/ some coils off them to get it where i wanted it. unfortunately i cant remember how many i cut off as it was 5 years ago, blimey. anyhoo, heres how it sat last time it got an outing, which was a couple of years ago now. its just sitting in my garage waiting for its recommisioning. this shot is how it was when i get it. hope that is of some help.

Thanks, that has helped me a bit, that is about how low I'm planning, to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.
Did you lock wire the springs in place?

Did you lock wire the springs in place? no i didnt, as the springs don't dislocate when jacked up. also i wasnt planning on ragging it anywhere, using it more as a big comfy cruiser. lmao at mark, also not remembering how much he cut off.
