I knocked these up to fit to the Saab for the Help for Heroes charity event I am taking part in. The drive is formula 1 influenced hence to over the top wings. I know this isn't something that would be fitted to a normal car, bug it is for charity and is designed to look like a Formula 1 car. Obviously there is a bit if fettling to do and cleaning and painting, but I think they look good, the front will be wider and cut to match the contours if the front bumper. So what do you all think. Cheers, Stu.

I likey! If you wanted to be really swish, you could fit a DRS flap in the rear wing. Open the wing and go for the overtake

Not to be a killjoy, as it is making me giggle. But I get the feeling anyone in authority see's that, you will get bummed... Roll the lip on the front maybe?

Not a killjoy at all, I was going to refit the lower rubber part if the bumper, just to keep the authorities happy, or get it rolled as you said.
Cheers,
Stu.

Rear wing fitted, just needs smoothing, a radius on the corners and it is good to paint. This is the frame that I had to make up to fit the wing to the car, the wing mounts to the frame using 5 bolts and 3 bolts picking up the existing holes from the small spoiler that was fitted previously. Please don't forget that this is fir charity, not a serious modification to the car, all mods can and will be removed putting the car back to standard. Cheers, Stu.

Looks like a bit of a work of art so fair play to ya for your skills! However, 'wackily'-decorated banger rally cars always look like fair game for the old nescafe bean shake if you ask me.

I added a bit if paint and final fitment of the rear wing. Then I decided to paint some cheques on the bonnet with some flames incorporated, just needs a pinstripe to finish off. Just the front wing to do and add the decals and it should be ready for the banger run, all opinions welcome. Cheers, Stu.

I have started on the front wing, hopefully she will be finished by the weekend, loads to do and plenty of smoothing off on this one. A little raster of the side that I have started. Cheers, Stu.

Unfortunately I will have to raise the front wing as I caught it on my front grass and it pulled it off the bumper so it will sit higher, got a funny feeling it is going to look a bit strange, but it is for a good cause ;D Edit:- found the pinstripe pictures Cheers, Stu.

Update due to clearance issues, I have had to raise the front wing up 4" I don't think it has lost too much of the look I was going for, what do you think. Just a reminder as to why I am doing these modifications. Cheers, Stu.

Front wing painted and fitted, just a couple of decals and a few highlights and it will be finished. If you are interested, I welded the boldt to the top of the uprights and drilled through the bumper, then made a piece of strengthening out of 6mm plate to stop the wing from flexing too much, I then drilled holes through the plate and bolted it up and fitted the bumper. Surprisingly the muper is only held on with 2 bolts inside the wheel arches and a couple of plastic clips across the front. Cheers, Stu.
