the SEC was booked in for its first mot in my ownership today. i must admit, i have been lax and never even gave it a check over before hand. 11 o' clock came and into the station we went. 45 minutes later i emerged with this WoOt. advisory that the handbrake was of low efficiency, although balanced equally. ;D

W00t indeed! Another year of cruising in the SEC! You did better than me, I got a nice orange "To do" list with my certificate the other day.

Excellent work sir! You'll get an advisory on the handbrake every year, as they use rubbish tiny drums inside the discs.
Simon phoned a few days back asking if you could have my number - everything alright?

Simon phoned a few days back asking if you could have my number - everything alright? yeah, just pre-empting catastrophic failure. wanted the number for that guy you were telling me about at C.a.R.S. not sure whether or not I'm going to keep it. I'm contemplating boshing it back on the bay. its less family friendly than i expected. may go for an SEL.

I've never been in a SEC,is it that much smaller than an SEL? I remember reading a curious thing back in the late eighties. apparently the SEC was the weapon of choice amongst the older merc clients, whereas the SEL was preferred by the young go getters. Kinda strange, you would have thought it was the other way 'round?

Yeah right - amazingly little space in the rear for such a huge car! Still, makes you feel bloody good when behind the wheel!
SEL - excellent choice! Mmm, legroom and footstools - hell of a lot more car for your money than an SEC as well.

cheers christoff. i can only get 2 child seats in the back, and sometimes i need 3. also I'm no contortionist so fastening the seats in, then the kids in is a mission and a half.
