Man you work fast!!! It takes me about a whole day just to mask it up, let alone prep and paint it aswell! Look forward to seeing what colour it becomes! Jolly good work.

Good luck for the spraying - wouldn't it have been easier / quicker to have removed the read lights / number plate?

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

Good luck with the painting. I hope the wind keeps down for you!
I once heard of a chap who sprayed his entire car without masking, then used thinners to clean the paint off the windows etc................

What is it recently? I've seen a couple of threads now where folks have masked over obvious bits of trim/lights/number plates instead of taking them off?
Looks like a great spray job, but why cut corners? Can you honestly tell me that its quicker to mask around an oval lamp with 1/2 masking tape than to remove two screws?

Looks like a great spray job, but why cut corners? Can you honestly tell me that its quicker to mask around an oval lamp with 1/2 masking tape than to remove two screws? i didnt take the lights or plates off as i couldn't be bothered to take the back wheels off, mess around disconnecting the wiring, and then have to go through the reverse of putting it all back on in time for tomorrow morning. It isn't just two screws as the lenses bolt to a housing which is then bolted on from the inside of the wing. It was far easier to mask up with 1 and 2 inch tape and use a knife to cut to the edge of the seals the car is a bit of a shed, the heater channels are poor, the rear quarters are full of filler, BUT, i like it. It isn't worth restoring, but a quick spray job has made it look a lot better for the year or so of life it's got left in it a quick spray job is just that, quick! if i was doing a full on resto i'd remove all the trim, lights etc, as did when i sprayed my van
