HI guys, Just a quick question, I'm sure its been cover a billion times before. Will I be ok fitting 4x100 wheels to some 4x4 hubs or will i need wobble bolts? Many thanks, Gareth Pics for gratitude

Unless the stud holes are a bit worn, you will almost certainly need wobbles. if the wheels you are fitting have tapered seats for the bolts, then yes, without doubt.
Err on the side of caution in this regard.

I've heard of it done loads with wobble bolts, but usually 4x4" wheels onto 4x100 hubs. I wouldn't want to try it without wobble bolts, there's a 1.6mm difference, which is enough to stress the bolts rather a lot.
Only trouble I could think of is that a lot of the cars I can think of that are 4x4" don't have spigots to centre the wheels, which is a bit of a no-no with wobble bolts.

Think your having us on most 4x4's run 6 bolts in a very wide pcs .. never mind the diff locks in the hubs etc . You'd have to be good on a lathe to make up some very mad adapters .. good luck bud

Or he could mean a Golf Country/Synchro, or BMW 325iX, those are 4x100 4x4s...

4" PCD on a Vauxhall Victor or Viva running 100mm will damage the studs and they may break.
4" PCD on a Morris Minor running 100mm wheels WILL break the studs.
Not sure about Minis or Reliants.
Use wobble nuts or better still wheels the correct PCD.

With something like Alleycats, I reckon you'll stumble across a set with a 4x4" PCD soon enough .

I was about to tell you there is someone tying to shift a set over on turbominis, but having just reread the thread to make sure they're still available etc, I'm guessing you know about them? Unless someone else brummy based is loking for a set for a viva, and just lost out on another set on ebay....... pretty long odds i reckon!
