Model: E36 BMW 325 TDS
Year: 1994
Mileage: 118k
Tax: until 31st May 2012
MOT: until 20th July 2012
Location: Ilford, Essex
Price: £1200
Pics: loads of them....
Good Points:
3 previous owners
118k loads of service history
All old MOTs & paperwork with car
No rust anywhere very clean example
Drives without any nasty knocks, rattles or bangs.
Recent engine service, within 2 months including automatic gearbox filter and fluid change.
Nice tight drive as it should be, smooth and relaxing.
Good spec car from factory, sports wheel etc.
Standard unmolested, OEM look not M3 wannabe like most E36's.
Was purchased from Prophets of Gerrards cross, loads of original paperwork from dealer, front and rear number plates still have Prophets print on them as does the rear windscreen (this is cool if your into that kind of OEM madness)
Road tax until 31st May 2012
MOT until 20th July 2012
Bad Points:
Two cigarette burns inside the car from previous owners, one on drivers seat and one of rear seat.
Sometimes the idle is a bit wobbly, i have sourced it down to a missing injector. Its not that bad because the car still gets 35mpg, could do better mpg if it was changed i suppose.
Handbrake needs to be adjusted.
Conclusion:
If you want a nice 6 cylinder turbo diesel motor without any nasty surprises then this is for you. It is an absolute pleasure to drive, defiantly not a curse word box like most other high mileage examples.
Plenty of power available for overtaking. Will sit at 80mph between 1.5-2000 revs in top gear!!
Very economical on the long run 38-45mpg, not so great around town. I am not going to lie, I use this car as a daily to and from work which is 50 mile round trip with a mixture of A-roads and urban city driving, and it does me approx 33-35mpg. I do my calculations on how many liters I use for how many mile I do and not the on board computer which seems to tell me I am doing 45-50mpg!
