Well I have managed to pick up welding with a days practice with someone who is competent teaching me, I didn't want to trust my welding on my car cause I'm not good enough to do a really strong weld yet. Just keep migging 2 pieces of metal together and do your damndest to break it once it's cool, if it bends round the weld your ready to tackle a car, if your weld breaks, keep practising Great update today! I didn't touch the paint cause my mate in loughborough told me to come and get a couple of master cylinders he had lying around, so I did, got it fitted when I got back, bled it off and I have brakes again! yay. So I checked the levels gave it a wash and took it home for the first time since I moved in where we are currently Well chuffed. A couple of pics of it after the bath and one of it in it's new home! MOT and tax tomorrow with any luck!

lol It's not taken long to sort, Last night Me and Phil went to see our mate James (fellow Supra owner) as we lost the flaring kit and didn't have enough male connections lol James made me some new pipes and I watched as they both fit them heehee. I did have to do the nasty job of laying under the car with a hosepipe and a tin of gunk scrubbing the rack clean though, then we spent ages trying to make it leak to see if we can find where it's comong from and I'll be buggered if we could get the fluid to leak out! Bloody picky that MOT tester!.... We did find that pretty much every bush on the front suspension is fcuked though lol perhaps he was too distracted by the torrent of PS fluid covering his floor to notice all them Anyway it's back at Phils work and in for the re test! Fingers crossed again

Taxed and MOT'd! He wasn't impressed with the brake lines, he said they should be secured to the car? WTF I really can't see them swinging around! and he let me of with the PS leak he said it is leaking from the rack but now I have cleaned it it's only small woo!

Thanks I was aiming for the car park next to me but only decided to aim for it once I'd reversed past. there was a small part of my brain telling me it was a bad idea seeing as I had already overshot it but the rest was telling me it would be fine! oops. Bought a breaker car today between three of us which means I should have everything I need now to get it how I want it. the breaker has a fully poly bushed front subframe and although it will need all the bushes removing and greasing first (they creak like hell!) that will be the mashed bits of rubber in mine fixed. I also have a rear to put on seeing as that's not much better, although what can you expect from 20 year old rubber that has had 150000 miles of 230 BHP pushed through it . And the breaker is equipt with drilled and grooved discs on it so they'll be going on. Finally the breaker is an auto and as I have decided that my knee simply can't cope with the high biting point and low seating position combined I have decided to go back to auto again

Well the Auto box got fitted eventually with ALOT of messing about, in the end we couldn't line it up properly from under the car so had to pull the engine which I wasn't happy about. Every job on this car end up being more difficult than it has to be! any way it got done and apart from a few niggles I got a couple of weeks driving before the tax ran out....... however I came home last night to find my other half and my mate under my car.... unexpected to say the least lol.... as it turns out the gearbox is fubar.... it's knocking it's tits off It'd defo not the engine thankfully although the oil is full of petrol! I figure I have two choices: 1. go to a garage and get them to swap the gearbox and continue my mission to save a car doing it's best to try and die. (there's no way I'm making those poor sods do another gearbox swap and I don't have the physical strength to help much nevermind do it myself) 2. break it, keeping the engine and wheels, and concentrate on my mini. Once thats done (or something like) buy another supra in decidedly better condition now I have the knowledge to not just go out and buy one based on colour. I'll have a think for a few days...... sad times

It has been a very long time since I last posted in this thread. It looks like I was too upset to ever tell you what happened to this car! So here it is, I confess I broke it. I couldn't deal with asking for more help fixing it! I did however discover the problem. I sold the engine to a forum member so I took it out, took the gearbox off and when I went to undo the flex plate bolts they were loose! Every one of them finger tight! Moral of this story, use f*cking threadlock. Or you will end up scrapping a car you love for no reason! Yes I regret it badly... So by some sort of fate, a supra that I have been trying to buy for the last month or two with no joy, popped up on ebay. Literally, I had lost all hope of the seller getting back to me on gumtree (it had been on here too), my Amazon was collected today by the new owner. So i go inside and just click on ebay and there it is. With 54 minutes left! Talk about meant to be, so I've bought it! It gets delivered on the 3rd of April and I can finally go back to Supra ownership where I belong ... The saga continues, in true regret of getting rid of this one the new one won't look much different. White, Turbo, Auto with blue leather has always been the spec for me Oh and if anyone knows where my wheels ended up? I would very much like to buy them back!
