Thanks for all the feedback guys, it keeps me going :-) and thanks for the links, to be honest, i like all the suggestions above, so its a tough call.
I'm currently shampooing my door cards and carpet lining the backs with heat proof sheet and sound proofing so should make the ride more civilised.
The whole car needs a proper wash and i will compound all over and polish this weekend so will share some pics of that with you all.
On mechanical side it runs very cool now and has also become a lot quieter, not sure if thats the new valves bedding in or the hydraulic lifters adjusting but its lovely and smooth and pulls brilliantly, i shall do a driving video soon.
Next to do under the bonnet is i will replace the rubber ubend from intake manifold and maf with silicon tubing and add the exits for various hoses, this should flow a lot nicer and not leak as much as my 30 year old rubber.
Plus will give the throttle body a nice clean and polish the inside along with cutting some nice curved corners for the bypass valve so that flows smoother.
i also need to replace my air hoses with silicon ones, more for look than anything else as i replaced them recently but it would be nice for everything to match, plus i have a later idle control valve to try out and possibly fit.
and the most radical change will be i have a spare intake manifold which i will take my angle grinder to with an assortment of disks and cleanup any nasty casting edges, cut out the trianglar overhang between each tube as these serve no purpose and i'll rub it down and 'might' polish it, it depends. My engine is spotless as far as no dirt or grease plus all bolts are stainless however its not been tarted up and i'd like to keep the more clean but functional look, but who knows. :-)
