After selling the car in my sig a while ago I have kept my eye out for another. This came up and a deposit was sent after just a few pics. 77k on the clocks and no reason not to believe it. Standard apart from updated hellas and the numberplates. Its not perfect but its very good. Not made my mind up to mod it or not.

I remember these. Was the graphic on the side some kind of special edition, or a part of the 'Sport' specification? I remember seeing a few of them on the road in the 'eighties. It is in such good original condition I say keep it as it is! David

Its a trio radio, fade and balance control on the dash is also still working. As for the bottom, you are the first to notice. I remember thinking that my brother was up to something whilst I was taking the pics. I have posted these on other forums as well lol

that is a beautiful car, love it. It should have the "DZ" engine (112 BHP) and a "2P" gearbox; which both are rare these days... i'd keep it standard, maybe a different set of wheels and a suspension kit (a proper one, springs from H&R, and good shocks..) . Also i would waxoyl it, they have a good rust proofing, but after 20+ years they start to rust from inside... i'd also have a very good look at the rear axle mounts/rear part of the outer sills, i once had an Audi like that which almost lost its rear axle And the necessary panels are sold out and NLA.. i know, because i bought the last set two years ago ...

Seems pretty good in the usual bad spots, had in mind spax suspension the same as my previous one and a set off ronal R8's in 15 x 7 but the wheels aren't the easiest to get hold of.

Few pics of my other audi project. 90 20v sport Brought it written off with rear axle and front strut damage. there was also a bit of damage to the wing. 83k car with stamped service history. Nearly finished, just needs a few small mechanical jobs doing. Recently got it back from paint shop, very pleased with the job they did. Probably as rare if not more as the 80 in sport trim.

I saw this on classic audi as I go on there as well(dunstan). Congrats on the purchase. Looks to be really nice, the red suits the shape.
Would you like a 2.2 5 pot for it when i do my engine? In fact Id swap it for the 20V in your 90 LOL.

ive had a few of theese, great machines, keep as is , maybe some early coupe wheels if you can find them, wouldnt drop it more than 50mm as the back axle takes a hammering if its too low n stiff n rips out the mounting points , i found out to my expence a couple of times before someone told me, 280/300 springs max on back , hard as you like front, oh n rubber bushes on the back cause the polys are too hard,........ nice looking car, want another now
