Hi guys, painting my car here at the min, already did the shell with etching primer, U-pol hi-build primer, wet sand, dry, panel wipe, base coat (from alec orr, brand unknown), and max meyer 2k laquer.
That all went grand
But i've just tried painting my doors, wings and bonnet but immediately got a bad 'crackling' type reaction when i went to spray the base. Surface finish similar to a crunched up ball of tinfoil
The only thing i've changed is by using 'pro-spray' hi-build primer this time.
Is it possible this has caused the reaction?
It has only reacted in places, not everywhere, do i Sand everything back to bare metal and try again? or flat the reacted area, prime that, and continue with base?
Or would i get away with , flatting the reaction, and straight on with the base again?
The panels are all from different cars so all have different standard paint under my primer.
