Failing that, I live in Leeds, I could take it to my tyre bay near harrogate and try and pop it on for you

When me and bruce refitted a 185/60/14 onto the 14x8 bandies, we found that you needed to make sure that the back bead of the tyre was seated and then lots of hairspray into the tyre and it went on a treat. Did need quite a bit of hairspray and a couple of goes to get it right

we left the valve in, but had an airline to hand to get air pumping in it as soon as it had popped.

The way i usualy do it (when i forget a lighter) is put a strap around the outside of the tyre and do it up as tight as i can then pump it up. Ive never done a real big stretch though so not sure how it would work.

The usuall way is to remove the valve core dump as much air in as possable whilst sitting on the tyre and moving it till you find the sweet spot, at least thats how we used to get standard mini tyres on 6 inch 8 spokes or kneel on the tyre (center of the tread) that spreads the beads out wider.

valve core out, wheel upside down, so theres a smaller gap between tyre and rim bed. lots of hairspray, about 30 seconds worth, and make sure its really into the tyre as a cloud, not just sat on the surface. if it don't go with a f-king big bang, youve not got enough hairspray in there. if its just goes 'wuft' you need about twice as much. you need the valve core out cos if you don't itll blow it out with that much of a bang. have the compressor standing by ready to bosh a load of air it or itll suck itself straight back off. i put 165/65r13 on an 8j last week doing it, got em on first go. EDIT- heres an old vid i did of 205/50R15 on a 10J rim-

....or, if you've got some bottles handy..... couple of seconds of gas, five of oxy, put your earmuffs on and light. Then get some air in sharpish before she sucks back off.... Joe
