	I want to get two sets of track tyres. Wet and dry. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm finiding it very difficult to find conclusive answers on what to go for. For the wet tyres I'm looking for 205/45 R16 For the dry tyres I'm looking for 215/40 R17 For the dry tyres I can probably go for ToYo R888 as I've had those before and they were good. Having trouble finding wet tyres though. People say the ToYo R888s are ok in the wet. They grip alright but they take aquaplaning to a whole new level when you hit standing water. Trying to brake from 100mph while gliding over a puddle is no fun at all!

	The feedback I've been getting from the trackday fraternity are that Federal RSRs are apparantly much better in the wet wihout sacrificing dry grip.

	Yeah, I've heard very good things about the Federals too. Apparently they're a hell of a lot better for wear than the toyo's too.

	The man from ToYo says this dedicated wet competition tyre will be head and shoulders above the usual T1R or R888 www.toyo.co.uk/tire/pattern/proxes-rr1 Can get them in a 205/50 R15 which should be alright. I had wanted the size I mentioned above but got lots of 15-inch rims hanging around so I could go with that instead. Slightly worried about fitting a 205mm tyre to a 5.5-wide rim. Going to cause tyre-wall flex. But then again, 15-inch rims are two-a-penny these days.

	Yokohama A021R is supposed to be very good in the wet too.
