My googlefoo is weak so I'm hoping someone can help me out on this. Can anyone get a pic of the NS inner wing so that I can compare to the Mk1? If I was to get severe rust, or accident damage and could only get hold of a Mk2 panel to repair my mk1 then the side effect is that I'd then have enough room to run a 5speed box and have it looking factory, if you get what I'm saying Cheers

I don't have a picture but I can tell you that it is pretty much completely different. From the windscreen forward the mk1 and mk2 are pretty much completely different cars, there are no easily interchangable body panels on the front.

just repair the rot on both sides with plenty of extra strength or do it as every other curse word does it, without any issue whatsoever

or do it as every other jolly pain in the backside does it, without any issue whatsoever I'm gradually coming to that conclusion but just because there has been no comeback yet, doesn't mean it won't happen . I just enjoy knowing everything is squeeky squeeky clean and correct. It's the way that despite clarification from DVLA by the ACE, it is still remarkably grey and at the discretion of some bloke who doesn't give a monkeys about cars. I'll mull it over. There's no rush

hence repair both sides mk2 inners can be adapted to fit but it will take some fiddling and fab work to match the front crossmember. i'm keeping mine as ford intended for that part of the car, theres just something about chopping a big hole in the chassis rails on a flimsy mk1 that worries me a wee bit ;D
