Mother in law needs 5 windows tinting on her grand voyager. 20% is whats needed, she's been quoted £300, i think its worth a go myself tbh, i done my old astra van rear window and found it quite easy to do.
Now i will be needing a good quality film, do you have any recommendations?

Now I will be needing a good quality film, do you have any recommendations? If you decide to do it yourself, send me the window sizes and ill get you a price for some high quality film. I would advise you to stay away from the cheap film, its very thin so harder to apply

if you're able to remove the window to tint them, it would be so much easier

only take the fronts out if you have too, I don't take any windows out if I can help it because of the risk of the glass breaking and if the windows in the car it is being held so much easier to apply the film, £300 is about the right price, was it Old School ? I would do it for about that, please remember that the film is flat and the windows are curved so you will need to cast the film to fit the glass or you will be wasting your time and money, and if you are not the patient type then get someone else to do it, I have lot's of people come to me after they have tried to save some money and do it themselves, horses for courses and all that, I hope that helps a little, rusty.

I can't remove the windows, 3 of them are bonded in and the other 2 are hinged vents. I can pop the plastic surround off inside to do the tint, hopefully making the job easier.
I think i have enough patience to do the job as long as my kids aren't under my feet.

get over to : www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/carbonfilm.aspcheap and will deliver quickly, thats where I got mine from, do some youtubing - buy a decent knife, some soapy water in a spray bottle and a heat gun, and squeege and your away I did mine, although ordered 5% tint thinking its was lighter (its not it only lets in 5% light).... limo black! so thought i'd give it a go eitherway (only on rears though) it took a good couple of hours, but cutting the tint first on the outside and trimming first made all the difference. The rears are 5% and the fronts are 50% - ive been pulled for the plates (although let off) and the tints didnt even get questioned.
