No interest to most of you I would imagine but RK ... I'm joining your club this weekend, my Fabia gets delivered today.
All I need to know is where I can pick up a vRS chip - I had to go for the normal 1.9TDi due to a) time restraints (my borrowing of Keith's benz was starting to become an issue) b) cost (any of the good ones were still well over 10k and the ones I could afford were FUBAR'd) and c) insurance (no NCB)

Hi Tash! Nice work..... there's all the usual supsects for Chipping - like AmD, Superchips, Revo etc... not too sure about a vRS chip though -- other than in a breakers? There is a guy in Soulbury that does VAG stuff, he's a Revo Dealer too... he had a supercharged R32 golf up at GTI Festival last year I think... www.vagtech.co.uk/index.htm

Heard good reports from guys at work about the Revo chip, in fact there's one chap had a Golf GTTDI and took the box out before he sold it, dunno if the same box would work on the Fab? www.revotechnik.com suggests the 100hp motor gets encouraged all the way up to 150bhp, torque from 175 to 235. That's more power and torque than a standard vRS Best of all you get a free trial, just to get you hooked

Never trust a man Who names himself Trevor. Or one day you might find He's not a real drug dealer.

I'd get my vRS chipped if I was keeping it for a while out of warranty... but they're releasing an Octy 170PS TDi vRS apparently in september... so I'll be chopping the fabia in after christmas

God you two are bad for my health I think I could live with 170 bhp ... not too sure how the garage would feel about my warrenty if I chipped it ... What they don't know won't hurt them Loving the free trial idea too, thanks guys :-D

Tash, I think there are immobilisor issues with swapping ECUs / chips between cars - I suspect you'd need the ECU, dash pod and key at the least if you took one from a VRs although I could be wrong. Get yourself down the local revo dealer FTW
