German car electrics are normally pretty good in my experience, but for some reason the offside indicators are flashing too quickly - its behaving as if a bulb has blown but all 3 bulbs are actually working and flashing.
Any ideas? This is all that is stopping my W201 from being road legal!
Cheers!

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

I had the exact same problem with my BMW. Strangely, it cured itself after about a week. Wierd.

W201?,it's a bad earth, remove all the flasher bulbs on that side and clean them,I would also replace the flasher unit .try hazard flashers,if they are acting strangely you need a new unit. The flashers are supposed to flash once every second( from memory) if they flash faster the unit must be replaced.

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

sounds like a bad earth 'tricking' the relay into thinking there's a bulb out - the flashers are load resistant and quite sensitive but the bulb doesnt need that much to flash so a dirty contact would cause it... same as everyone else's answer that wannit !?
