A few months ago I made a set of banded steel wheels for the Vitesse which is undergoing a little transformation. However today these have come into my posession; No, the tape measure isn't exagerating, they really are 11" wide as they stand now from sidewall to sidewall ! Now, to get them on a wheel and looking sensible (if that's possible) they need a rim AT LEAST 10" bead width. Currently I have 7" and 8" fitted with 185/60 and 215/55 respectively. These it would appear are F3 wets, marked 240/540 13 which is roughly 245/50R13. Well, should I spark up the welder and make a pair of 10" rims to fit these on ?? What would you do ?

They need to be used. Although, you might struggle to find more when they're worn....
Are they road legal?

I vote no. Your Vitesse looks bang on at the minute, I can't see any point in going wider personally.

The camera angle makes it look less but I assure you they measure about 11 inch. Hell, 240 is 9.5 inch tread width. Strictly speaking they're not legal as they actually say "for competition use only. For F3 use only" however my not man doesn't seem to bothered. Lol.
