I quick fancy some 15" steels either 6j or 7j wide to fit my Volvo 480. As it has a renault drive train it use renault/vw stud pattern of 4x100 pcd and a rough offset of 35et. Can anyone recommend a supplyer or source of such wheels?
I understand banding wheels is illegal for road use?

Yes very illegal!
Note if you wish to go 7inch wide consider that a different offset say around 30et may be required due to inner rim fowling suspension parts (remember if wheel goes wider offset may sometimes need to alter)

Re-rimming isn't, but it's hard to find someone to do it - and even harder to find someone to do it well.

I would look at something like megane steelies, or Citroen berlingo van, as they will be 6x15 anyway I think even latest Clios are on that size

BMW Mini Steels are 6"x15" - not sure on offset though (hairnet600 would know, and has a set for sale )

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

The are officially Passat wheels if I remember correctly when asking the dealer. That said, my dealer seemed to quote some odd prices when I asked about some a few years back so I didn't bother, would quite like a set though.
