Yeah, always thought an ambulance would make a cool Jonnymobile. Keep all my bikes and stuff in the back.

What sort of prices do these old ambulaces go for? I remember years back that they used to be well popular with the stock car boys,to haul the race cars and all the spares.don't some of them have uprated lumps? they allways seem to shift pretty well!

There is a ghostbusters stylee ambulance running around Potters Bar, I will have to get some pics of it, it's fapping awesome! Looks small from far away, like a big estate but it's f*cking huge up close, bigger than a tranny for sure.

In Surrey a few years back, they bought a fleet of American Chevy 3500's.And when my wife went into labour,I thought touch! I'm going for a blast in a Yank. I don't know who was more curse word off when a merc turned up.Me for not getting the chevy,or the Ambulance driver, who I had started to have a pop at for not driving one of the cooler motors!

I did this ages ago, it has to be done! It will be done. And soon.. But with pumps, batteries and playa wires. Just need to (a) persuade 'berlinetta' & co it is a worthwhile waste of money & (b) hide the bank statement from the wife!!!

They used to run the American things here in East Anglia for a while, but think they were withdrawn for being unstable or something. Place near my old work used to maintain them and sometimes they'd go for a hoon on the runway Those CF's with the single rear wheels used to lose wheels IIRC, dimly remember something about this on the local news. Also beloved of hippies and crusties as a cheap alternative to a camper. Don't the Sherpas have V8's in them?

Yes, we had one dumped in a road close by, but somebody was living in it and moved it every other day from one road to another, so despite no tex the council wouldnt crush it! V8 Camper it became still in Ambulance colours.

the East Anglian yank ones were introduced whilst I was living down there.... and withdrawn only about 2 years later as it was found they couldn't fit down some of the country lanes in deepest darkest Norfolk. I think they kept them on in the city, but went back to regular country-lane-sized ones elsewhere. A guy local to me now - lives in a huuuuuge house - has a knackered Transit Mk3 Ambulance. Has changed the sign above the windscreen to read "UNBALANCED"
