Hi,
I have come a long way since this nutty old thing with WRONG wheels!
I'm looking at getting some wheels which are 7" wide with an offset of 10 for the MR2, original whels are 6" wide and 39 offset.
They are gonna stick out a fair bit and cause some havok! I a while back thought it would just give a wider track then the car would be less likely to roll, but the tyres would stick out a bit.
The Mk1 lot are pretty keen on not going mad on wheels, as the last thingthey want to do is affect performance, me too.
So will it b*gg*r up handling as my friends suggest and do i rightly suspect bearings may get battered etc?!
The wise idea of a custom MR2 is not seeming so creative anymore! Its a well oiled and designed machine to start with!

195x50 is best.
Don't get 30 offset, it will drive horribly, tramline all over the place - I speak from experience
TBH I'm not thrilled with my new ET35 wheels, not bad, but not as good as the standard ET38. It bump-steers a little bit more. No tramlining to speak of tho.
