Why car designers shouldn't take drugs at work: 1958 Ramber Six. Seems "heavy" at £3200. RHD is curiously appealing on this. Ex-Jeep 304 or 360 V8 would perk this up. Got my name on it too, look... 1965 Thunderbird £2K reserve not met, non runner... Lovely cars though. 1964 Oldsmobile 98 I don't think I got that "big Oldsmobile" thing out of my system Much likey... £3500 bid so far... Now for something completely different - 1968 Transit Custom Van £2300 '60 Impala, in need of some work, but all there and V8... Another £3500... one of these: Didn't make reserve at £2700 and lives near me... and one of these is resting in a garden not so very far away

The Rambler looks like somebody designed the front and rear, then came to join them together and passed that design work on to their 4 year old son. With a fastback roof it'd be quite nice. They probably tried that, liked it, then realised that normal sized people didn't fit in the back.

The Rambler is most likely the result of a 1957 restyle of a 1954 design. "give it quad lights and tail fins!"
There is also a corvair convertible on bid to like £203 last I looked but even I will give that one a miss
And then there's Motorama's 65 Caddy sedan...

I'm thinking those are both going to be somewhat over my budget, but deeply cool none the less

Big want from me too on that '38, would make an excellent tat-hauler and mpv all in one. Plenty of space for seats and a cocktail bar which, really, is all you need in the back of a car.

...and hope you'll never-ever get t-boned... The OP's Impala get's my vote, btw. I always loved that approach on the tail fins on them
