And more importantly the Izuzu engines in them As there is a spare Piazza Turbo lump or two kicking about now ;D Is it the same Base engine ? 2.0 8valve ? or totally different ? Thinking Slammed very hard with tucked in Black rims and low profiles like a modern day Commer style van ;D Oh and Turbo Piazza engine and box ;D

dreadful column change is half the fun/challenge. "What gear am I in? what gear gomes next? what gear is that? should I let up the clutch, oops, that wasn't third..."
And the bouncy castle ride quality...
quality tat.
And the one I had could give some viscious backfires if you hooned it up through the gears.
And the handling... well, the least said about that the better!
Great stuff.

Thats very interesting about the engines bieng of the same ilk! The biggest problem I can see really is that you really wouldn't want to go above 60 in one of these vans in standard form, REALLY! But some slammage might help and some wider rubber maybe. It would be a lark thats for sure! But the column change on these vans are CNC'd from a solid billet of purest SHONKITE and make driving on anything other than the open road a proper chore. But then you wouldn't be hooking it up to the column change anyway... would you? The shape lends itself well to modifying how you described, I reckon it would look the bees b*ll*cks if done right It has to be done, I say go for it!
