Kinda like the one in the photo. Same yukky colour right now but the paint is so shabby it needs a respray as Job#1 Its currently lowered a little on moon discs and with nice twin big bore exhausts. Current owner is a mate saying "I might sell the Jag" so my ears were all up like "more of wibblepoo to fill my life with YO!!!!" I was thinking Tuxedo Black and slammed on 7x15 slotmags with 225/70 whitewalls was the way to roll.

yup!
love 'em but by christ they rot, and like all xk's the engines cost a fortune to build work on..
I would have thought that they're one of those cars that are a joy to own a nice one and a nightmare to own a tired example, never owned one myself but been in a family friends one, was really very very lovely
We need pics BTW, what colour were you thinking of for the respray...

I have recently hit a rich vein of WIN with several big old subzero cool barges for sale. Choices, choices...

ive always wanted a mkX for some reason. so i say yeah, buy it!
a bit of trim smoothing, fender skirts, lowness and a reverse-rake 'chop and it would be a very respectable brit custom.

I sort of can, and I sort of can't. I don't doubt for a second that it'd suit you, but, if its going to a headache, both emotionally and financially, then I think your time and ca$h-dollar would be better spent getting a certain grim old land yacht sorted for the summer Just my threepennybit.

I had a 420G back when they were cheap old bangers, it was great fun, but terrible to live with as an only car, it was really really really thirsty and going rusty on top of the wings, rear quarters and boot, and it was hard to park as they feel very wide from inside.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

I can see me in one, which means in my book it's an awesome plan.
Do it!

No, I can't see you in a Mk10. That's 'cos you haven't bought it yet. Buy it , then I can see you in one.
I feel like there's something in the water in Akku-land at the moment and if you keep drinking it there'll be a mighty fine ride outside your place any day. ;D
