	Hey guys, I seem to have hit a dead end in something that seems SOOO easy. I'm needing to add some lengths to my wiring loom. For instance, I have a second fuel pump I need to wire in, and I'd like a couple of kill switches for them both up by the dash. I've traced all the wires, I know where I'm going to have to splice into the old loom/extend etc, but a) I can't find anywhere that explains what gauge of wire I should be using and... b) I can't seem to find anywhere that I can order and get my hands on lengths of the appropriate gauge of wire in different colours. Can anyone throw up some links of online shops they've used where I can order some lengths of different coloured wire and advise on which gauge I need to be using for ampage and length of the run...? On a side note, I'm planning on twisting, soldering and sleeving any splices I need to do. I'm assuming that's perfectly suitable. 	Hi Chris, Maybe not the cheapest, but I have used these guys and found their service splendid. They'll have full ranges of coloured wires in various gauges along with all the sundry bits you find yourself needing. Alternatively, rip some loom out of something from a scrappy... www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/home/homepage.php EDIT: They had their catalogues given out in the goody bag things at the gathering last year which is far more pleasant to thumb through than their godawful website. It's bright blue and A5 in size. You may have a copy kicking about.. My method of figuring out if it's thick enough is not very scientific and involves waiting for the smoke to escape from the wires or going a bit overkill so I will wait for the likes of Jrevillug and SOC to deal with that.

	2nd vote for VWP. ive used them a few times for stuff thats unobtainum elsewhere, and the service and product is always great. I think they list all their sizes in mm as well as gauge too, so you can match to what wiring you already have.

	I used the 'scrapper' method. Lots of old wire from scrap cars. The quality is so high and 90% of the wires out of an old (good quality) car are reusable. OEM fuse boxes and wires. I used some of the Halfords junction terminals for power distribution but that was when I was a bit more flush. These days I would try and find something else off a scrap car. Opps, sorry, bit of porn there at the end.
