I am selling my Rover 1.8 VVC engine/gearbox/loom set-up.
Back in March I bought a complete Rover Coupe specifically for its VVC engine which was going to be going into my Hustler Sport.
The Hustler is now sold and I no longer have a use for this engine, so it's up for sale.
First things first - what do you get?
1.8 VVC engine with ALL ancilliaries
Gearbox/clutch still attached to engine
Inner CV's and first half of driveshafts
COMPLETE wiring loom**
ECU/fuseboxes
Speedo console
All switches and switchgear
Fuel pump & pump mounting plate
Basically this is everytihng you'll need to convert a car to VVC...and probably more.
The engine is a cracker, a really good runner as can be vouched for by everyone at the unit that weekend. I drove it 20 miles home and it was perfect. Fast, smooth and fun. I bought it for my own project and wouldn't have bought a duffer. The only thing wrong is the alternator which was seized. I cut the belt to get the engine running and it fired into life with the first flick of the key.
** When I say the complete loom, I do mean complete. Every single wire from the car was removed....everything from the headlights to the rear lights and everything in between. 100%. It was all labelled as it was removed so that identifying what everything does will be a lot simpler. I was going to transfer the complete loom into the Hustler hence the need to keep it all intact and labelled.
It also comes with the ECU, fuse boxes, gearbox....in fact EVERYTHING to carry out a conversion into another car.
Those that know me will know that I am a bit pedantic about buying things/removing things/keeping things and this VVC set-up is no exception. It's as complete as you'll ever find. Thoroughly labelled and stored.
I will be taking some photos tomorrow or Saturday, but I can assure anyone interested in buying this kit will not be disappointed.
Many thanks for looking and please check back over the weekend for the photos.
