Just had a look online and the most recent mot test centre number is: 9423 0236 7819
Don't know if anyone is able to identify where that is? I've tried to dig deeper, but can't find any more info. I'm about half an hour from Newquay so could have a look in the vicinity when I'm over that way next... Pm location info if you wish, Datman. I don't really understand how the original owner doesn't have a case of stolen vehicle here.

I don't know Newquay that well, but surely someone can work out where this is?  I'm also wondering that the current 'owner' who has been paid for the van, but has since gone AWOL, is aware of this thread....? |

I already thought of that, we had the old V5 which has the old doc ref number on,, that comes up with an mot test centre but it only gives you the ones until it changed 'ownership' which was a while ago now.

How possible/stupid would it be to see if a friendly MOT tester would print you off a duplicate certificate? I know it sounds mega dodgy.

Hi, this van is has tax and ticket so there is a name and address for it. I know us mere mortals can't access that but the police can. Is there not still a stolen vehicle report outstanding on this vehicle then?

no the Cambs police have refused to accept it as stolen as she ' is not the registered keeper ' LOL . and when i have phoned, they said they won't accept a report from me either.. although the lady at Devon & Cornwall nick was a little more sympathetic at least.

She is not the registered keeper, but she is the owner. Being a registered keeper on the V5, doesn't really mean much. Does she have a receipt for the car from when she or a family member bought it?

By my calculations, that photo was taken outside 24 Fernhill Road, Newquay, TR7 1LE.

We already know the van is registered to Fernhill Road, the problem is it has not been seen there recently. We need boots on the ground in Newquay to find this thing.

Could the old owners not prove ownership with photos/bills etc as well ? Would that help ?
