Don't know if it counts, but on my old merc I tried to replicate the look of those 40s/50s Mercs with black/chrome hub caps...

the style youre after isnt what i thought of when i heard the term 'mooneyes look'. id say the look moon are known for is what matt has posted- a smooth lakes racer look, with moon discs obviously, some rivetted on ally panelling/aerodynamic aids maybe(particularly around front grille/valance area), and of course, yellow paint.
id call what your looking at more barris influenced, with the drawer knob grilles, etc. you might find a bit more searching along those lines?

Oh I don't know, mooneyes always ends up not looking not quite right on moderns...it should work, but it doesn't.
Shame.

That could work so easily on a Mk1 Mondeo estate. I have a feeling there's a Steve Kirk Motorvation drawing to that effect circa 1995 Street Machine.

I like the BMW but it says "Crazy Taxi" to me not Moon Eyes. I dunno about that,.. says Mooneyes to me, what with being built by Mooneyes, by definition it is Mooneyes.. and once more Mooneyes. Some more from the Mooneyes site : PS Crazy Taxi was awesome.

ooooh cool. I'm in two minds about the bimmer. I like the idea in concept, And in my head its what id like to do. But how can ya get dish and moondiscs.. Unless they were reverse concave hmmmmmmmmmmmm Oh and definatly not looking for a barris/custom style thing,, It needs to be more hotrod on a modern style thing. An example being the moon thing with discs and such. I have nothing against the full on 50's/ 60's custom look of those barris creations, But its realy not somthing that will work with what I have. DEZ I'm assuming its due to the pic i posted? Its not what i thought id posted strangely. Think i copied the wrong pic lol My next question would be , Anyone know what offset a set of chevy rallye wheels would be? Off a camaro or such?

But how can ya get dish and moondiscs.. Unless they were reverse concave hmmmmmmmmmmmm Regular 13" fit Moondiscs inside a dished 15" steel rim? Something like a Weller where the spokes fall inwards to a flat surface too so that the disc would clear the hub/nuts in the centre.

That could work so easily on a Mk1 Mondeo estate. I have a feeling there's a Steve Kirk Motorvation drawing to that effect circa 1995 Street Machine. He did a yellow Sierra - not sure if that's the one you're thinking of? Could work with some Mooneyes touches all the same.. (Stolen from WillCarter's Artists Unite thread )
