Hi my name is Enej and I come form Slovenija. I recently sold my Mazda mx-5 ;( I loved the car, but the previous owner repaired her veary badly after a crash and it started rotting everywhere here she is...i miss her But I had a car waiting in the garage for the past 2 years, and I almost forgot him....untill now He is a 1995 Subaru Libero, 1.2 3cyl,RWD, 56HP of pure rage. (sorry for the phone pics) At home we have also a citroen hy partyvan : (Pics are before the party transformation) Full audio sistem, LED roof party lights, mini bar, refridgerator, Helium ballon filler, Projector for open air movie nights... You can sleep, eat, party and ride with/in it. It s my dads dream car. Yeah, we have a strange taste in cars Anyway, the plan with the libero is this: that s why I bought it in the first place, 2 years ago. But I have a really really hard time finding the vw body kit, because you can only get it form Japan, and they usually donĀ“t reply to english mails But I might have found a contact from uk, of a guy who sells Nissan figaros, but he is a bit slow at responding to my mails. I will make better photos tomorrow, so I can post them up. I'm loving the car, it is funny looking and so much fun to drive. I hope I didn t bore you with all the writing Cheers Enej

welcome to RR Enej That's a great little vehicle, I've seen quite a few of these done as miniature vw campers but didn't realise the engines were so tiny! A Kei look would work very well with these in my head, it'll be cool to see if you manage to source the bits for the camper conversion. Love the citroen too

Welcome Enej, a strange taste in cars will go down well here This..... ... Is one of the most out of proportion front bumpers I have ever seen but strangely it seems to work! ;D

Thanks guys octagonalpaul: actually this is the ˝big˝engine most of the converted mini vw buses are 660ccm supercharged Gray: yes the bumper is a bit of an eye catcher there is a tube, like a bull bar under it that is why is this big. conrad: thanks we get a lot of this we also love our fiat multipla, but my girlfriend and my mom arenĀ“t really happy with our cars a few more pics(phone quality:/) It is a 6(or 7) seater, and if you fold the seats you have a 195x125cm bed (the rear seat isnĀ“t fully opened) I painted the needles in fluo yellow i like it. I must say it is a great off-road little car, but unfortunately the previous owner forgot to add differential oil and broke the front diff, so now it is converted to rwd, usually they come with awd/rwd option.

Bookmarked, The subarus got potential and I thought abouht doing the mini vw thing before but as you say finding a kit is difficult. Why not get a GRP mould made. I bet it would pay for itself .
And that citroen is awesome- any more info on that?

And that citroen is awesome- any more info on that? That s what i will do, when i get the front end, so i can make my own front, if i have a crash or buy another libero. The only mini vw sambars are in the UK and i doubt the owners would like to remove their fronts to make a mould for a guy 2000km away And the citroen is a 1979 H-van(HY,le tube...). It is powered by a 1.9 petrol citroen DS engine. Ours is a Belgian version (the doors are normal, and not the French suicide doors) imported from Austria. It was converted in a camper, with the vw westfalia interior, altered to fit the hy. I will make a presentation of him too, but i need to sort out my camera first p.s. Sorry for my bad English

There's an orange and white one of those mini-VWs going around Hinckley/Barwell. Looks cute as anything, if a bit odd from the back...

yes the back is quite ugly, but thats because the engine sits IN the rear bumper so there is nothing to do with the back :/

Cool little van I never understood why they put the "big blocks" in these things. It means they're not kei in Japan, so subject to higher tax (unless I'm mistaken) and they produce less power than the 660cc motors.

I think because this were made for the European market, mostly for german roads, so they needed a bigger engine. Domingos(1.2) in Japan are really rare, as you said because of the higher tax. Sambars are more popular with their 660cc supercharged engines.

Haha, i was actually on that site to update on my own libero-thread and found yours! Great little ride We seem to have a similar taste in cars, i have a mx5 as well, but fortunatly i didn't have to sell mine. That exhaust is interesting, after fixing all the leaks in my exhaust, the car is way to quiet and i was thinking of just removing the big box and letting it flow out after the catalysator... damn all you people that don't have to deal with vehicle inspection and noise restrictions... I have to try out the awd yet, but it looks like you came quite far even without it! greets from germany, Max
