There's nothing you can do really, maybe a really high wheel rpm burnout will scrub enough of the other tread off to make it better.

haha, like Matt i would suggest doing a big ass burn out to wear the rest of the tread a bit, but thats not gonna cure it totally, just make it a little less noticable

+1 on buying new tyres. Your tyres are one of those things you shouldn't skimp on, ESPECIALLY if they have flat spots- it means the car they were on has stood for a long time and the carcass has degraded! Tyres can save (or lose) your life dude!

if they have flat spots- it means the car they were on has stood for a long time and the carcass has degraded! Not necessarily down to carcass degradation - our van at work has prettymuch got octagon shaped tyres - this may or may not be due to the incorrect application of the handbrake at speed... ;D ;D

flat spoted from an extended skid or from being parked a long time in the same spot? all my classics sufffer the later after a winter in the garage, I over pump by 10 PSI or so then go for a drive, that usually sorts it out, the metal reinfocing takes the shape of the loaded lower section and stays like it for a while. If the overpump and drive don't work they are usually past it i'm affraid, can't remember the last time I bought new tyres? yes I can 1994 it was, tiger tyres charged £325 for 4 on me granada, since then never bought a new tyre but then I don't really speed about, bring on the nun killer accusations actually thats a lie i bough 4 new tyres but S/H (2 days after the bloke bought em) they were remoulds and they sidewall rotted after 3 months, cost me bloody £60 they did

A new tyre is the only answer here. Never skimp on tyres or brakes. VERY important.
