The rear gearbox mount on my girlfriends Punto snapped and as a consequence it's snapped the driveshaft as it dropped.
It's a 1998 (R) 1.2 60hp model. Will a driveshaft from a 1.1 Punto (55hp model) will fit as that's all the scrappy has got.

I am 99% sure that the 1.1 and 1.2 (55 & 60) are mechanically identical beyond the capacity/throttle/ECU side of things...i.e. they share the same gearbox, driveshafts, hubs & brakes. Do you want me to text you Ian's number? He'll know for sure  |

Saved time, just rung him and it's identical apart from the things I mentioned and the cam....so you're safe to buy any bits from the 1.1/55 Will text you his number anyway - hotline to 'the knowledge' ;D |

Awesome, hopefully have it fixed this evening then. £30 for the mount and £20 for a 2nd hand driveshaft so not too bad really.
