Vulgalour, couldn't see your pictures until I got home (looks like they're linked from deviantart which for some reason is blocked on work computers haha), looking good! Like the Mazda, always good to see some cars slightly different to the norm being drawn.
Thanks for the kind comments. Prints of all of my work are available (don't have many left at the moment but a new batch will be made up soon) if anyone is ever interested.

I think DA is blocked because you can upload naughty pictures to it, but it's the most reliable host I've found for cross-forum posting.

It may also be the fact that it has the word 'deviant' in the title. Artstation has naughty-ish pictures on it but I can still access that thankfully. I've used Behance as my portfolio site for years, so use it as a backdoor image hoster as well for artwork.

A couple of new ones from me, first is a '32 rod illustration; ...and an Astra GTE work in progress. First go with acrylics for a couple of years, enjoying the immediacy of it!

Keep going on them and finish that Astra A couple I've done this month; Getting retro, 20 years old now the Ford GT90 And two seminal, slightly older concepts the Pininfarina Modulo and the Bertone Stratos Zero All images copyright Michael Gillett 2015, no reproduction without permission.

A little something on the minimal side that I did just for me, now to find a suitable frame for it.

Yes, and I'm part time volunteering at a restoration garage. It's a wonder I ever sleep. A wee bit of constructive criticism: invest in a few decent markers; Copic or (my preference) ProMarkers - I find it difficult to take in the picture when the streaky/faded markers are so obvious. Uni-pin liners are my go-to for line work, they work on everything and come in some great sizes. For reference, compare the blue of the border in your AX picture with the blue in this: Okay, that's a five minute sketch of my lunch on REALLY cheap notepad paper (smears and bleeds like a <redacted> on her first <redacted>) but you'll be able to see the difference. If you're doing commission work full time, 20 ProMarkers will pay for themselves within a week *n

I definitely can. These are the first marker type pens I've used, it's a learning curve. Sometimes they behave impeccably, other times not so much. I've been using Faber Castell PITT pens, the brush nibs on them are really nice but the colours seem a bit hit-and-miss as to which ones are going to colour uniform and which ones are going to streak when you're doing large blocks.
I have tried Uni-pin pens and didn't get on with them, I use Rotring instead which feel smoother in use and are more reliable about staying put when I'm using watercolour over them.
Nice banana.

If we're talking markers it should only ever be Chartpak ADs on Letraset Marker pads All of these were done (about 5/6 years ago now) using these materials - If used correctly Chartpaks on good marker paper should never bleed and should give a consistent flat colour at all times. Other people in the design industry swear by Copics but Ive always prefered Chartpaks. Not that I've picked one up for over a year (maybe two...) now though!

uncleterry they're great. Drawing with markers is a lost art unfortunately, digital art just doesn't cut it.
