Ok where to start, up for sale is my metallic grey 1997 Fiat Cinquecento Sporting. I brought this car last October to replace my Bug (didn't want another winter with no heating, especially doing the nursery runs). During my ownership she's had the Cambelt replaced (70k), exhaust centre section (69k), boot latch (old one broke so has been replaced) & a new clutch cable as the old one broke. I've added a Kenwood 4 x 45w CD player as there was no radio fitted when I brought it.
The car itself has performed very well and handled the heavy snow we had over Christmas with no problems whatsoever, never failed to start in cold/wet weather. It's been a great work hack during the time I've owned it, great economy and performs well enough to keep up with traffic being the larger 1.1 engine. It's not had any mods done, still has the factory alloys, factory tint glass, leather steering wheel & gearknob. She's currently done 72k (will rise a bit as I'm still using it for work), clutch and gears work fine, no crunching or struggling with gear changes. Engine runs ok, no overheating, smoke or anything else unpleasant. Lights, wipers, electric windows, central locking, demister all work. The bodywork has a few dints here & there, I'm not going to lie & say it's immaculate because it isn't, it's nearly 14 years old & has picked up a few marks along the way. The handbrake has a bit too much play in it so will probably need some adjusting for the next MOT, it works but the lever has to be pulled right up to engage. The battery light is faintly on (dimmer than the other dash lights), this started not long after I'd brought the car back in October last year. It's gone off a few times but come back on, I've put a voltmeter on the battery and it was showing over 14v when running. I'm guessing the battery is getting plenty of charge as it's been like this for months & I've always got the radio & blower on when I use it and the battery has never run flat. Possibly a gammy earth somewhere to the dash light, doesn't seem to be a problem but wanted to mention it.
It's MOT'd until mid October 2011 and has tax until the end of October 2011 so plenty of time to address the handbrake before the next test is due. I have the red key plus 2 blue keys & 2 fuel cap keys so you have the master key plus 2 sets for everyday use. V5 is also in my name, the last owner was a middleaged lady who used it to run about locally so it's not been owned by a lead footed newbie, I'm nt one for hammering my cars so it's not been thrashed in my ownership either. The interior is tidy enough, no rips on the seats, parcel shelf is present and hasn't been cut about, carpets could do with a hoover but are more than presentable. It has a spare, jack etc in the boot. There's no rust anywhere, the bodywork is strong and although it has a few marks it's very presentable with only some small dings.
The reason for sale is due to wanting a motorbike for my commute to work, my wife has a car as well & realsitically we don't need to cars, viewings welcome.
I am based in Milton Keynes (J13/14 of the M1), I'll be available in the evenings and weekends if anyone would like to take a look. I've probably forgotten stuff so please ask any questions that haven't been answered above. To summarise she's MOT'd/taxed and ready to go, ideal runabout, work hack. Insurance is cheap, parts are readily available & very forgiving on fuel. Thanks for reading.
I will upload some photo's tomorrow, meant to take some when I got in from work but had to go out again so it didn't happen.
