	these are the bars on one of my bikes. home made from leatherette. see no reason why it couldn't be done on a steering wheel in a similer vain. basically a strip of material with the edges stiched nice then hand stiched together round the bar/wheel. should take a few hours at the most and cost maybe 3 quid in material and look much nicer than bar tape.
