Well I’m getting to the stage where I need to sort out the exhaust for my Cortina. The issue is that I have a 2.9 24v Cosworth engine (it’s the BOB not BOA) that’s new home is my MK4 Cortina. Now the current exhaust on the car was attached to the 2.8 cologne that was there before (I think it may be the original 2.3 exhaust). Obviously the manifolds on the 2.9 don’t match up to the downpipes on the previous exhaust. I need some way to get these to meet up. I don’t know if this will require new manifolds or new downpipes. Firstly has anyone done this before and secondly does anyone know of anyone who could manufacture these for me if I’ll need new parts? I know this description is very vague but I have been told that a tubular manifold may be the way forward but don’t know of anyone who could produce such an item for me.
