Not sure if this is quite the right area, but it does have to do with renting some car related space….
A good friend of mine (Gaz) is renting a room in his house. He’s had ‘lodgers’ for some time (I lived there for just over a year a while back) and the last guy (also a mate of mine) has just moved out. He’s just decorated the room so it will be up for grabs fairly soon.
I offered to help him find someone ‘suitable’ to rent the room. Out of my group of friends, Gaz is the single one meaning we all go round there to escape our women – last thing we all want is some weirdo moving in meaning that we can’t go round there any more!!
It’s a 3 bed semi in Worthing or Goring to be precise. 500yds away from the Johnny Haynes Mercedes garage. BN12 postal area. Quiet cul de sac. House has double driveway and large garage. Garden front and rear. Fairly presentable throughout although it is a single mans house! You might be able to snag a slot on the drive (or at least on the road outside it) and maybe a bit of space in the garage. Room is a decent double size. Shared amenities – bathroom/kitchen/etc. Shops/buses/trains all within 5 mins walking. Easy access to a24/a27.
Gaz is 39 and most of us are around 35-40 (although don’t let that put you off if you’re younger – we are all pretty immature
) Gaz loves old fords – he has a mk4 escort van, a mk1 xr2 and a mk1 escort project in the garage. He rides a mountain bike and likes BMX. He works as a coachtrimmer for pre war classics – and is pretty dam good - sewing machine in the garage and everything!
There tends to be a few of us round there a few nights a week. Nothing to lairy – car talk, GT on the PS3 and don’t forget Pizza Tuesday! It’s a smoking ( ) house so you need to be cool with that too. Gaz has a daughter aged 11/12 (ish) who is round alternative weekends and 1 eve for a few hours during the week. She is cool and a petrol head like Gaz!
So. Room to rent in car mad house. Complete with band of mates and a large scalextrix set up in the front room. Only normal, down to earth people to apply.
He's looking for £100PW all in. You can do another £5 a week for a virgin media box in your room.
