So I made a technical section as I noticed peoples technical questions could occasionally disappear of the bottom of the page pretty quick. I also figured it was an easier way to find people that merit the Technical Help badge thing Lets see how it goes and if it finds its feet

Excellent Idea.
Can I suggest that you "sticky" this thread for a couple of weeks until the fraternity are up to speed on its existence

Excellent I love a good shuffle through tech stuff and my fingers are rarely free from oily deposits, much to the disgust of those at the office I work in ;D

That'll make life a lot easier since like many RR members I'm still doing the learning thing with technical stuff.

Cautiously optimistic! It's great that less tech questions will get lost, but I just hope that enough people visit that section - I hope so!

Hehe - just thought "Wait, WTF what happend to readers rides? Seems a bit empty!?!?" - 'till I read what I clicked ;D Very good idea! Maybe this helps to keep 'general chat' a bit cleaner. I think the pros are in the majority Cheers, Jan

A good move in my opinion, I've long felt a techy section would be best.

Part of the reason I love RR is the lack of room/areas (whatever the correct terminology is???) I find some forums have too little info in too many places. Although it does seems like a good idea to have a tech area as sometimes tech questions do fall into obscurity. Anyway hope it goes well
