YABBADABBADOO! ;D Phoned Pa, and Yay! WTF though the grumpy fugger threatened me of trying to kill him cos some wheel nuts were loose. It wasn't intentional cos i didn't think about that, will do it on purpose next time!!! Now i publicly vow to never take a project back there. Even if it has made sure it gets done to a deadline. its afirst and last! youre all witnesses. Now how much overdraft do i give as a goodwill payment for spot welds on 3 repair panels, cutting a panel, and overseeing the brake components go back on properly? plus loan of garage for 3 days and loan of yard for 4-5 months? family remember How we were Heres arr Graham with a quick reminder! Clean(ish) and Mean(ish)! Apparently clutch is on its way out so thats the next thing. that would of been fun at the Pod!

Heheh quality title! Really glad it passed, you've worked dead hard on it and now you can enjoy the rest of the summer blasting around the B roads! Wicked! I like the plans you have for it too, if you get chance to carry it out in the future it will look awesome, very individual

Cheers Street. Yeah I had temporarily run out of steam with it! Still hoping to go ahead with the mods, not sure when i can afford it though. Although some parts i'll have to grab soon.... As soon as i can get over and tax it we can start having fun. Well chuffed!

Clutch on an MR2 Rather you than me Pleased its passed though Knowing my regular mechanic and buddy isnt in full support of this, not sure if he'd be keen on the job! sounds advanced for me but I am getting a bit cocky. HaHa no not really the kinda job that worries me, does give the chance to put an hardcore clutch in though! cheers

nice one mate, glad to see its passed!!! good to catch up with you (albeit briefly) on the weekend.
my luck isnt going so well .... while investigating the brake problem on the 411 today i found a section of the inner arch that looked dodgy. i stupidly went poking, and now i have no chance of an MoT before move day this friday which means theres two cars i need to trailer. ar5e!

My autodata disk gives a repair time of 3.9 hours, admittedly I sometimes think that they just pull numbers out of hats for other repair times, but its says 4.8 hours for a front drive corolla with teh same engine.

Thanks pheonixc, Hard to measure time on a job, its so variable - time , skill, trouble etc. A local mate had to change engine on his '2 so might hook up with him for that help he offered. I am getting into this DIY thing. watch me eat my words! Cheers Keefy, yeah really great to see you too. you'll get there with the 411, is it nothing some temporary filler cant fix?

Why did you swap seats ? the leather looks great.

you'll be fine with it mate. taking it apart is always the easiest bit, and once you're that far you HAVE to get the job done lol.
the 411 will come along, i was just hoping all the body was sorted and it was just mechanical gremlins to sort. I wouldnt be happy using filler so i will get it moved, get the barn sorted, and get the welder out ... if i can muster the enthusiasm i still might try and get the brakes right this week.

Why did you swap seats ? the leather looks great. They were a fair bit shagged, plus I had a lot of hot summers as a short wearing kiddy in Volvo's! PLus i'm a veggie. Plus - I'm getting buckets eventually - well tht was the plan anyways! ;D

Cracking job mate, good to hear its on the road 2002Tii had the clutch on hiw corolla 4x4 wagon done once, apparently it was the worst one the mechanic had ever had to do! I'm sure the 4x4 element made a monster difference though, the MR will be fine! J

Didn't see you at CaRS BTW, not intentional at all. kept seeing the blue imp and the mag featured white one and thought maybe you zapped all the unfinished bits and got down to CaRS! Can't wait to see it
