Well I can't make excuses I arrived late - but just in time - beer tent (while still sober) food - beer - sleep ;D
I had to find a chap "Tim" from the Lowridrz" to pick up an ebay item my mate won - Tripple weber maniflods for a 3.0 12V Monza engine that is probably gonna end up with six Gixer carbs on it!!!.
My mobile went pear shaped on me so I spent a while looking for a public phone - before i found out there was one at the main entrance!!! I had to borrow scrappingscraps - Big thanks Chris for that - turns out he knew Tim well anyway - small world!!!
Anyway didn't meet enough of you guys however the few I did meet confirmed my thoughts - you are all barking mad and it's great!!!!
Anyway enough rubbish
Pics (Higher res versions availble by email if your car is pictured - so thats not many then!!!)
One of ours (I think) - waiting to do battle but wasn't allowed
Nathans BGT lining up
And Off (nice reaction time ;D)
Damn I missed the time they set the next one off almost as soon as the time flashed up!!!
That Granada MKII that was doing 10.4's and 144 mph terminals - the face on the Mustang driver was a picture as it rolled up!!
Well this is what was under the bonnet
Would be fine std LS1 and a six speed box.......but......
Vortex supercharger for the win and 700 bhp!!! Sweet
Roller setting a new wide line record on the autotest only beaten by Dave rapid bugrat - no I didn't take a picture of that cos I was laughing so much!!!
Phoenix C showing how it should be done
He kicked so much dust up it was hard to work out what to take pictures of so I got a lot of these!!!
Err sorry if you expected more
I spent a fair bit of time hiding from the sun Damn it was hot!!!
Have got a couple of vids that I'll get hosted when i get chance ;D Strangely of a Monza doing a nice run on the autotest.......
Was there a car show on elsewhere
Nice drive home too - should have left with spotted laurel and enjoyed the scenery instead of bumper to bumper with the odd blast where possible
Apologies in advance if I deafened a MKIV cortina and a MKI Scort on a dual cabbageway as I stretched it's legs - I don't think it was anyone on here ;D
Best car show I have ever been too for giggles I reckon and the stand was bloody superb - never before have I ever seen such a variety of cars in one group - In fact that bloody Audi A4 Diesel thought it was a car park later in the afternoon!!!!
