Hi guys! Great to meet some old and new friends today, and what a turnout! I'm so pleased that the quality of the show isn't linked to the magazine it's based on, so many people are turning out good cars now. Hats off to the lot of ya! Preet's 610sss was star of the show. Hayashis, JDM mirrors, the chin spoiler...Hot Old's stylie! Respect is due, good to meet you too Preet. PPC Roller takin' some stick. Wicked! Spot on retro-rat...on both cars. Genius. Anyone know what's under the bonnet? It's a bit new, but you can't argue with a slam like that. Racer86 is my hero. He looks, he learns, he builds...top of the class. Top R-R car of the day? It gets my vote, but there was serious competition! Hard to believe it's a UK car...it's just so right. He's an R-Rer too, so we can all take some of the credit even though we had nothing to do with it! In summary...great show. Well done boys (and gals)...you rock. ps. Ms Nightmare...they're not net curtains they're 'Tokyo taxi' seat covers , and they're supposed to be naff. ;D ;D Thanks for the hugs, and bring the Cressy next year, eh?

Sign of things to come me thinks......

That was one of my faves - would of had a really good look round it but there was a lass (who looked hot and bothered) in it so didn't feel it was appropriate to start poking around Actually they were all great cars in all sorts of different ways and I couldn't pick a car of the show - it was total overload

that red Datsun thing was so hot. I took loads of pics of that coz it was just so gorgeous. I quite liked the seat covers rmad in a sort of tongue-in-check sort of way. was quite interested in the cressida model in your back window. is that 1:24 and i assume the plan is to build that? i cant wait to see it, i can put you in touch with someone who can make you unique dished rims and exhausts if you want (just drop me a PM). that volvo is the nuts. oh, and the Renault 4 was mega hot. just like wow - was that flyered? he needs to be on here. did anyone else notice that yellow fiat 500 next to the 4...there was no engine in the boot, only a gearbox and what appeared to be a spaceframe chassis...any ideas?

Genius. Anyone know what's under the bonnet? 80bhp n/a engine IIRC, he was going to fit the gordini turbo engine he was selling in the rear window. I believe it belongs to hotrod bob from norfolk, who buys and sells rods and yanks at an alarming rate (he owned a 51 merc kustom and a 29A roadster in the same year ). if its him (heard he built it and got featured in retro cars earlier this year, but it might be a different one), he got severly stiffed (financially) over getting a volksrod built and jumped on the retro bandwagon. hes a bloody nice bloke as well possibly my fave of the show (top 5 anyway)

The model is (obviously!) from Japan and is probably unbuildable after a day in the sun! I intend to leave the box unopened forever...it's like a super cool taxi-tissue-box-on-the-back-shelf accessory! I've got a Celica in the same style which Wagoneer is building. You'll see pics of that when it's done I would think. The models were quite cheap unless you inlude the air fare and were readily available (the Celica is from a toy section of a supermarket!). The 500 was bike-engined.
