I'll probably shed a tear when it goes but it's finally time to say goodbye to my trusty daily
As the header says it's a 24v 2.5 litre Si which means you get the same lump as an ST24 but with less plastic hanging off it It is a little sleeper-ish as it has no spoilers and only small V6 badges on the wings to give it away. Not as uneconomical as some would have you think; I get the same mpg running around as I used to in my old twin cam Sapphire and much better on a long run. When I took it to the Gathering at the Haynes I got an extra 100 miles on the tankfull.
Bodywork has a few dings, a bit of scrape on the rear bumper (like it when I bought it) and a cracked bit on the front one where a pigeon hit it It's glued back in place and isn't perfect but a helluva lot better than the usual gaffer tape specials ;D
There's the odd bubble but no rust to speak of.
Tidy interior and the seat bolsters are in good nick, factory CD player, A/C works.
Some service history and I've always serviced it regularly, plugs were done on the last one too, front discs and pads the other week (I was going away for the Spring Nats and found the pads low, so had to do it), rear discs and pads aren't that old either and springs and lower arms have all been done over the last two MOT's, and the nasty brake pipes up by the tank the one before. Good tyres all round.
Stainless Janspeed exhaust
Mot'd til March 2012
154k on the clock. A bit high some might say but the engines quiet, runs well, no smoke and hardly uses a drop of oil, and that's running on runny old 5/30
Reason for sale? Something newer fell into my lap for buttons basically. It has alot less miles on it, a smaller engine (safer for my license apparently ;D) and I'm starting to rack a few miles up to and from hospital for my lung problem
£600
