Unfortunately the sunshine was just too much for me and I spent all day groaning, gurning, wheezing and complaining to Fatha_Bo11ox, following up in the afternoon with a chunder-fest in the boys bogs. Ah just like being 3 all over again! Kinda glad I wasn't the only one feeling the effects.. seems you had it worse than me though!! Did Father_Bollox enjoy?

Ha ha quality, indeed i am a skilled chod-shiner now!!111 Did you find a mystery Mazda pic on those rather attractive seat covers in your car? Aha yes I did!! And I had a sneaking suspicion that you were responsible! In fact I recently bought an older-shape Mazda 929 wagon B+W press photo off ebay, I’ll bosh them both in a clipframe, that will look the nuts! Nice one SL! Those seat covers are disgusting aren’t they, I meant to take them off but I forgot. not only are they rubbish, but they are also peppered with stains from cigs, boiled sweets and lord knows what else.

Yes he did! He was amazed at the mix of cars, the fact that some were shiny and some were not, and the fact that they weren't all set up in neat rows of 'ford club' 'Austin club' and so on. Also he was much more energetic than me! Next year maybe he can join in the fun with his old Lancia Beta saloon (the red one which I posted on here ages ago)...

Oy Oy crew! Made it back OK yesterday, 1250 miles in total, the yella heap got more and more economical over the weekend and the last tank of juice was consumed at an average of 38mpg, what a car. Glad to see another person driving silly miles for the show only spoke to a few of you (never caught up with some of you that offered to have a look at my garage plans/issue ) was a really good day however and loads of nice cars and some impressive times down the 1/4 too. Took around 100 pics which i'll sort and post up tonight Myself i got home about mid day yesterday to find a leaking shock on wifes car so had to fix that then clean the driveway

Rev. Dick Deluxe - yup another basildon boy. Shame about that viva. i think done right they are seriously cool. have been looking at a few on ebay today. tempting. but the missus might have something to say about having the impreza, the rocco and a viva. esp as it's only me in the household that drives.
CR500Dom - your dash looked superb. if mine doesn't come back up to colour with the product that i have on order, i may well take you up on dropping a dash into cbc for me.
that mk1 escy is superb. i may well pop down to the hwh on sunday. see if aaron is up for a run down there as it's just around the corner.

Pleased to finally meet your aquaintance Mr_B. Loved teh look of your yellow beast. This might sound like a daft question but how do 70`s and 80`s J cars handle when say compared to european cars of a similar type. For some reason I have always had the impression of vehicles such as sunnys etc.. being bad handling. don't ask me why I think that as one of my favorite handling cars is an AE86 and I know its predecessor was also good handling. Its just one of those ideas thats difficult to change

Mostly quite nice. My old Carina was like driving a Sierra with less lard on it. And it predated the sierra by a year or too as well.

I had a great weekend. Great to meet so many of you guys. Stuy and me had an eventful trip home, due mainly to his unwillingness to use maps. Also stopped to assist a girl a couple of cars in front of us who completely wrecked her car on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds. No idea what happened, just saw a huge cloud of smoke and a Suzuki Baleno that was totally mashed up. Cheeky Get!! The way we went home was the way we should have taken to get there, much nicer than all those blooming roundabouts, Blue = the route home. Red = the route there. I rest my case ;D

HaHa 'Godmanchester' is that a real place?! all the locals here would like that as a name upgrade i recon, what with all the indie types and football heads.
For the record we followed the crowd and didn't get lost for once! Hoorah

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

you need only two things in life: WD40 and duck tape. if it moves and it shouldn't use the duck tape, if it doesn't move but should then use the WD40. Genius!

I rest my case ;D Agreed Sir Porno, that's also the authorised Spottedlaurel route to and from that neck of the woods, as used many times to get to Billing. Good fun in the Starlet, perfect for the 240K.
