Boys & girls I have been asked by my esteemed colleague Mr. B Erlinetta to enquire if anyone has practical experience of building a V8 Manta (B)
This latest hair-brained scheme has come about as we have been offered a 3.9 unit with manual gearbox for a pifflingly small amount of money... much less than one would have to fork out on an XE etc.
So what are the pro's, and what are the pitfalls?
What bits can we use straight off, and what bits will have to be custom-made?
Are any bits for this conversion available 'off the shelf'?
As usual we are filled with boundless enthusiasm but severely limited technical ability. In all likelyhood the actual hard graft will have to be sub'd out, but it's nice to know how it SHOULD be done before wading in.
