Excellent work I was working up at Turbo Technics a few weeks ago and they had a bug eyed Scorpio estate there with a 2.9 Cosworth bored out to 3.2 (I think), 2 of the biggest turbos I have ever seen and not far off 450bhp!!

Cheers folks.
Who's Dave - were abouts are you? I'm in Wiltshire.
Mr Bolox - That's the car club workshop, there are two useable slots like the one I'm in, one with a full hydraulic ramp in (very nice!) and one that's got the cluter (jacks, oil drums etc...). It's very handy but you can only use them for a limited amount of time in a run.
Minion - Stop tempting me! ;D
I'll let you know how I get on.

did they ever come from the factory with V6s? My attempt at hijacking Retro-Rides' forums during the past week with my new purchase has obviously escaped your attention!

Well, I didn't quite make it today. I lost the ignition light on the dash but it turned out to be a bad connection somewhere. I had to hot wire the fuel pump as the relay didn't seem to want to play. It wouldn't fire so I pulled a plug to check for a spark. The plug was wet so fuel is deffinately getting up to the manifold. However, there was no spark.
So, I either have a bad or missed connection somewhere or I have found a connection that would normaly go to the autobox to ensure it's in either park or neutral before starting the engine. I might need to connect this to earth so I'll give that a go tomorrow. The engine spins over on the starter as the starter is activated by the Cortina's original loom.
It wouldn't explain why fuel is getting through the injectors though. But it's worth a shot.
