Guys I was getting frustrated yesterday and thought I would share this with you, I surprised myself and was smiling afterwards....
I was replacing the exhaust on my daily (1.6 8v vectra ;D) The mid section had parted company with the back box, leaving a good backbox but one cheap rusty pipe stuck in the flange.
How do I get this out I thought to myself, so out came the grinder with 1mm plasma disks, to cut "clamp joints" then a chisel to free the curse word exhaust still in the flange. Still couldent get it out...
So I cut the mid section off at the back box flange and used my slide hammer with a 90 degree thingy on the end, inserted into the backbox to grip the mid section pipe, couple of bangs and the old part came straight out.
Wooo fking wooo ;D ;D ;D Never has it been so easy to seperate an old exhaust from a good bit, i'm so chuffed I thought |I would share the tip, slide hammers from Machine mart are about £20, where I got mine, work there i'm afraid, yeah you would think it would be great but only 10 percent discount
