OK, it's another one of my "find" threads. Surprisingly it's not as disappointing as the last few, with a few semi-decent findings. First up, an 84 Merc 280. It's in a pub carpark and has been there for quite a while. Apart from its moss coating, damaged fuel cap and flat tyres, it seems sound. Whether anyone owns/wants it is unknown, although it probably belongs to the landlord. The pics are a bit curse word cos I was in the car at the time: This is the best bit of the day; a derelict house with lots of stuff in the driveway! There's tractors, a Mk2 Transit, a Rekord estate, a Carlton Mk1, and more! Does anyone know what this car once was? it now has a tree growing through it: Also this van, drowning in a sea of nettles: On a final note, I also saw these: However, further inspection reveals them not to be derelict, but part of a massive private collection on that farm. I didn't take any more pics because of this. I wouldn't want some git coming into my garage and taking pics of my cars....

Great finds! Good to know these places still exist here and there. I'm going to have my own when i'm 70, unless owning lots of worthless old tat has been made illegal by then, which it doubtless will.
My guess is a P6 for the thing in the bushes.

Cool!
I'd love to live like a hermit in some overgrown & run-down smallholding, surrounded by rusting tat. that would be ace fun, I reckon.

It's a bit of a shame that the Rekord estate and most of the other stuff is beyond repair, but the tractors look restorable...

Those tractors are cool!
I've got one like that - an International 414. Mine has a front loader though. Really ratty too, but it all works fine and I give it some abuse. ;D

Nice Benz at the top this thread - the w126 280 was a nice combination of luxury, fuel ecomony and almost enough power. Brakes will be knackered tho - they don't like lying around - although only £150 and 1/2 a day work for a complete new set. Just watch for noisey top end and rot on the rear kick-ups. Oh, those chrome wheel covers are horrible rust traps.
W126's usually clean up suprising easily!

I know where there's a '500' version of that merc up for grabs for very little money. Shame it's just as mildew infested as that on

Heheh I think that's called "theft" .... On an unrelated note, the tractors are apparently Nuffields, after a bit of research. Although due to Nuffields all looking the bloody same, it's hard to tell what model they are!
