Heads up - the new Retro Cars is in the shops today! It begins with a lovely little Sunbeam Rapier and a Nissan March Superturbo; the rest looks good too, with a couple of peachy Alfas on the cover, a 570bhp Talbot Sunbeam, a naughty little Volksrod and various other cool things. Oh, and if you flip to page 16, you'll see an article I wrote... ;D

Very good column; unfortunately I stopped buying RC last year due to a difference of opinion with the Editor (that was an interesting e-mail exchange ), but no doubt the mag appeals to some people on this forum.

I'm still a pretty regular reader, loving its broad spectrum e.g the Ruf article alongside a renault 4 gordini

Well done on getting an article printed up there fella. I've had photos I've taken printed up in a few american car mags, its a nice feeling to see your name in print isn't it?
As for buying mags, I have to be honest and say that these days I mostly don't buy any of any type unless I know of a mates car is featured or shown.

Snazzy alfas a rapier and March super turbo! on the cover with the promise of a volksrod inside, excellent Yeah,.. nothing else is as suitably diverse. If I want exclusive classics and cloth caps I'll get C&SC, for more affordable stuff I'll get Practical Classics,.. but for modified older cars then RC is the magazine.

I'm jelous of the staff, shame i cant spell and am no good at pics cos i would love to do that for a living.

We'll agree to disagree on that. [/PPC & Custom Car reader] Never realised C&SC did features on hatters' wares. ;D

PPC mag is good too, the only other i buy. Not just for the hardcoreness of it but the humour is good too, often makes me giggle to myself.
One that sticks in my mind is a trip to the scrapyard and they forgot tools and had to borrow the yards, and they broke them and were scared to face the scrap man.
