Been lurking for a while and thought I should make a post about my Micra. Had it since May last year, when I bought it for £500 with 47k on the clock and full service history. Brilliant condition. And the good old Photochop.... Just after some ideas from you guys. So far I have made a 'stealth' shelf for my speakers, removed the bump strips and put some stickers on it haha. Obviously it needs to be closer to the floor but it is much harder to do with K10's and I just don't have the skill or knowledge. Cut the springs? or take the time and money to get shocks and springs and maybe cut a coil off them? Hmmmm. Fire away.... Tom

My mate used to have one of these, pretty cool tbh. I would turn the exhaust tip so it faces upwards

Haha, it's only a curse word Halfords thing. Put it on as a joke and just left it.

Lowering is easy on the K10 as long as you don't want mega low.. 35mm is about the only kit I have found available and lucky for me mine has the 35mm lowering springs on the front already, the springs will go onto good standard shocks or K11 shocks even fit with a small bend of the brake pipe mounting This is how the front ground clearance is with them on, it's about as low as I would want to go for daily driving because of the speed humps lol (we have lots around here) If you want really low I believe that the daewoo Matiz front springs will go on and I would definately not cut the front springs, never have liked that idea just seems a little unsafe lol

Nothing wrong with cut springs providing they seat right!

chompysnake: Would like just that tad bit lower although it does look much better, nice to see another k10 on here. Got any more pics of it? BiAS: Seen yours before, think it looks awesome. Just don't want the hassle with MOT, even though it has a while left on it. How did you go about moving the spring seats? and how many coils did you cut?
Next up is sorting out a nice set a wheels and maybe bike carbing it.

polo 6n coilovers: but corsa ones fit easier but instead of messing about, buy my k10 off me, already got the wheels + suspension and bike carbs (including fancy engine)

I have a readers ride thread on here, big amount of work needs to be done to get the poor thing back on the road though! same colour as yours with the optional stickers It's posted as "1989 Nissan Micra 1.2 GS" in the readers rides section If you take a look there you will see lol but the car looks pretty sound over all but just not sure what to do next... welding or sort out the front end

just found a company that do really good coilovers for the k11, from what i know the k11 front legs are the same fitting as the k10 so makes a well possible option to get yours really low not sure if the rears will fit without a bit of work. the company is called bcracing and a full k11 kit is £699 i think and if you ring them they will even make to spec, i think top mounts are supplied too
