I've not been to Looms in a while. Are those in the compound area around the back of the Stores? Looks like there's a Series Landy there too! I wonder if that pair of Heralds are still there, I've had loads of bits of them! ;D

I am sure that equipe was my mates first car about 16 years ago, or the plate is very similar.
Have to say the SD1's look very good. so close but no room at the inn and too much on at the minute.

I wonder why they whip the wheels off first thing when they land in the yard, makes saving anything out of there an effort...

I can remember an old guy at work (many moons ago) bought an Equipe from new as he loved Allegros. I got a lift a few times and it was bloody quick in its day with a 1750 twin carb pushing it along.

A friend of mine went today to get what he could from that Equipe - he's rebuilding one and there were a few bits he needed. To quote, "A good harvest was yielded from it! It was virtually beyond restoration, too, as there was severe corrosion in a number of key structural areas (would have needed to go on a jig after repair)"
Thanks for this thread chaps - you can imagine how hard it would have otherwise been to get bits!

i had the prop off one of the sd1s when it was first in. first time i have ever sat in one too.
i must own a vitesse even never having been in one.

Shame about the Allegro, not seen one of them for years! There's a early mk3 Granada hatch next to the Sd1's too, anybody noticed what engine was in it? I need a few bits for mine so might take a trip up tomorrow.
