I'm not a big allegro fan but that does seem a surprisingly low mount with so little time left on the auction. That said, who know's what the reserve might be?

Ah, didn't see the reserve - got too exited. I awlways thought one of these would make a cheap(ish - a lot of fabrication) fun drag project. Tuneled out with blown V8 of some flavour. - or just stock and slammed on banded steels.

They are kind of cool but let's not forget, they really do drive badly, absolute porridge, my mum had a few and they were all the same. Rose tinted specs help with some things but they will need a lot of work to make them into a nice driving car. Comfy for a passenger though!

Problem with the BL stuff of that era is you can hear them rusting.

love the look of them, they're the coolest little uncool cars ever, but once they started 2 rust, from the two ive had anyway, they're unsavable, once you start tracing it back, an inch on the scuttle turns in 2 a bulkhead which a sponge would be proud of, and a rear subframe held in with underseal and the weight of the car!
series 1 with the square steering wheel and vdp ones are abowt as desireable as they come!
